pomelo kale peculiarity


Today's smoothie:
1/2 pomelo
1 thick slice lemon
handful strawberries, frozen
1 banana, frozen
1/4 avocado
2 handfuls kale
1/2 c almond milk
small slice ginger 
water for consistency

made about 32 oz










Outcomepeculiar
I love the sweet bitterness of pomelos and thought the rest of the ingredients would compliment it, but sadly the resulting smoothie is oddly sharp, spicy and very bitter.  Maybe pomelos are better eaten by themselves?
