bitter strawberries
Today's smoothie:
2 carrots
1/2 apple
1/2 lemon
1 banana
handful strawberries, frozen
few cashews
1/2 tbsp chia seeds
slice beet
slice ginger
small bunch dandelion greens
water
made about 25 oz
Outcome: bitter!
really, "bitter strawberries" says it all. all in all, not terrible, but certainly not anywhere near the neighborhood of delicious either.

Today's smoothie:
1 cucumber
1 stalk celery
1/4 avocado
1 banana
1 c pineapple
1/2 lime
sm handful cashews
1/2 tbsp chia seeds
handful dandelion greens
few leaves kale
water
made lots, about 40 oz
Outcome: pretty tasty
fresh, bright and a little bitter (from the dandelion greens). the cucumber and pineapple are the predominant flavors and they're delicious together.

calories: 502; carbs 82.3; fiber 21.2g; protein 13.1

limey kale and dandelion greens
Today's smoothie:
3/4 banana
1 stalk celery
1 cucumber
a little broccoli
1/8 slice avocado
1/2 lime
1/2 apple
few leaves kale
sm handful dandelion green
1 tbsp hemp nuts
1/2 tbsp chia seeds
sm slice ginger
water
made a ton
Outcome: yummers!
light, crisp, refreshing and a gorgeous green. I love it when the smoothies come out green.

tart cherry, honeydew melon and kiwi
Today's smoothie:
1 banana, frozen
1 kiwi
1 c honeydew melon
3/4 c cherries
1/2 lemon
1/2 stalk celery
slice beet
handful kale
water
made about 40 oz
Outcome: i like it!
It's definitely sweet and tart, but the beet keeps it earthy and the cashews mellow everything out. Really enjoying the texture that the cashews and chia are creating. Grabbed the cherries at the farmer's market and am so excited that stone fruits are pack in season. Can't wait for smoothies w/apricots, peaches and plums!
