avocado brazil nut oddity

Today's smoothie:
1 banana, frozen
1 blood orange
1/2 fuji apple
2 carrots
2 florets broccoli
slice lemon
1/4 avocado
slice beet
some kale (not the sharp one from yesterday)
water

made about 32 oz

Outcome: not bad, not great
I didn't think I put very many brazil nuts in, but it's the predominant flavor of the smoothie.  Not a bad thing per se, but a little unexpected.  Overall it's thick, a little astringent (from what??) and very nutty.  Would've benefited from more lemon and something sweet like a date or dozen.
